Comment about other issues when picking up the car: The man at the reception was so rude and not much helpful as he was explaining we might get accident and all. Noone want to hear these type of words just before the family trip. I know he was trying to sell the insurence and he succeeded on that but the approach was not right. I paid for the insurance but not by choice.

Comment about other issues when picking up the car: Nobody explained to us the toll system which is used in Australian cities. It is only mentioned on a piece of paper among many others. I think it deserves some verbal explanation and advices about the way to pay.

Comment: Partly because I did not understand well the substitution offer, I had to use car not designed for long journeys which was not very confortable.

Comment about other issues when picking up the car: In Sydney, there is an n electronic high way tolling system. Every car requires an electronic tag for the system. Everything is automated and there is no person to collect toll on highway. Without such a tag, a car will be fined if it passing a tolling station. The staff at Thrifty counter did not mention this to us. Thrifty does not provide us with this tag. On the road, we were very careful every time passing a polling station. We simply cannot find any person collecting tolls. As the result, we received several fines in Sydney.
Problems while on the road
This problem occured: high toll. The people from Thrifty did not handle this adequately:
Comment: After returning from Australia, we received several fine notices for highway tolls. On top of that, Thrifty also send us notice for extra management charge for these fines. We complained this to Thrifty. Eventually, Thrifty dropped the extra management charge. We still have to pay the fines related to the highway tolls.
